During 2018-2022, the export amount of China's LED products showed a trend of first rising and then declining, mainly due to the impact of the COVID-19 in 2022. In 2022, the export amount of China's LED industry products was 51.627 billion dollars. Based on CCID's statistics that the total output value of China's LED industry will exceed 200 billion yuan in 2022, the export scale of China's LED industry is relatively large.
——Overseas layout of LED industry manufacturers
Based on the current situation of production capacity construction and export in China, it can be considered that going global for enterprises is an inevitable trend for the development of competitors in the Chinese LED industry. At present, representative manufacturers in the LED industry have achieved certain overseas layouts and achieved certain results through strategies such as acquiring overseas manufacturers to enter the market, cooperating with distributors, setting up subsidiaries overseas, and cooperating with downstream manufacturers. Taking the representative downstream product LED display screen as an example, since 2023, Chinese manufacturers such as Liard, Alto Electronics, and Zhouming Technology have all occupied a certain market share overseas, and their market share has also shown a trend of further expansion.
In terms of technology, Chinese LED manufacturers have also shown a trend of breaking the monopoly of leading overseas enterprises in the high-end field in overseas markets. Taking LED movie screens as an example, domestic LED display companies have gradually entered the global LED movie screen market and passed DCI certification, breaking the monopoly position of international giants.
